Wedding Sneak Peek - J & J at Albert Hall Canberra
Wedding day sneak Peek - A quick look at J & Js wedding at Albert Hall in Canberra. A beautiful day for a laid-back couple form inter-state.

I have been looking forward to this wedding for so long!
Jacinta reached out mid 2024 about wedding photography, and I fell in love with the plan they had for the day.
They were traveling from interstate to celebrate with family and friends, and that was the main focus of the day. Being with the people the care about, and having a great time with them.
And getting married of course!
Jacinta got ready in the morning at a suite at the Hyatt Canberra with her girls - not bridesmaids, since they didn’t have any bridal party. These were just the girls she wanted with her, to help calm her nerves, help her get ready, and have a cheeky drink with before heading to the ceremony.
The original plan had been to get have the ceremony outdoors at Lennox Gardens, just across the road from the Hyatt. Unfortunately Canberra weather didn’t get the memo, and the gardens were underwater the night before.
So the ceremony was moved indoors to the Hellenic Club in Woden. The room was set up really beautifully, and ended up being a great space for the ceremony.
Jacinta and Jayden are both Aboriginal, so the ceremony started with a Welcome to Country, as well as didgeridoo playing. The ceremony was short but sweet, followed by a confetti exit, which looked so good inside.
After Quickly doing family photos at the reception venue - Albert Hall - We made our way to National Gallery for some photos at Skyspace. I love this spot for wedding photos, you can really play with shape and colours and light in different ways, which makes it feel like a new spot every time you visit.
Then it was back to Albert Hall for the rest of the evening. After an iconic entrance we settled in for dinner, and dancing.
They had such a good group of friends and family with them who were truly ready to just party the night away, and celebrate with the couple.
On a photography note - I upgraded my flash for this wedding, and it absolutely changed how I photographed the reception. I felt so confident in the light it was producing, and Im so happy with how the photos came out.
This was such a fun day, and Im so happy with how the photos came out.
This is just a reminder that even if things don’t go 100% to plan on your day, even if it rains, you can still have a great day. I do think it’s as much about your mindset as anything.
I hope you all have a great week! Happy new year!
Till next time -
