An engagement session for H & H - Canberra Photographer
A late winter engagement session for H & H. Dancing in the Canberra Bush with beautiful yellow wattle, and golden sunshine.
H & H were my 'test' subjects for a new location here in Canberra. They reached out about having some Engagement photos done, and the brief was a location that was bushy, and native to match the wedding theme.
I had another location in mind for these two, but after visiting it the week of the shoot, and wandering around it didn't feel quite right. It was slightly bushy, but a bit more manicured, and less native. And while it would have been great, it didn't quite fit what we had discussed, or what I had in mind for these two. I wanted real bush feel.
I stumbled on this spot when walking out dogs, and once I saw the wattle, and how the sun came through the trees I KNEW it would be perfect!
Part of my job as your photographer is to make sure the locations we use for your photos are exactly right for you, and will give your photos the look and feel your after. I always scout locations the week of the session, to make sure we know exactly what it will look like, and that there's no fun surprises like scaffolding, or road works.
These two are off on a European tour, before getting hitched in Melbourne with their friends and families. Ill be honest - their wedding photographer is in for a real treat! They were so natural in front of the camera, and together. This was their first time having professional photos done, and they nailed it.
What so you think of this location?
Would you want your engagement photos here, or do you have somewhere else in mind? We are very spoilt for choice here in Canberra, and even into NSW. Let me know your idea vibe for an engagement session in the comments, or over on Instagram. I love chatting all things weddings, and photography.
Also I'm now getting every couple to do finger guns on a shoot.
Have a great day lovers!
